Thank you for letting our staff have the opportunity to take care of your student for the week. We want you to feel comfortable during his/her week at L&S, knowing that our capable staff is helping your child have a life-changing experience.
If you are interested in a packing list, click here to view what your student should and should not bring to L&S. Below, you will find medical information, phone use and other helpful information.
Our counselors are certified in CPR and First Aid. They can provide immediate treatment for minor injuries.
Lineville and Wedowee both have pharmacies and several doctors. In the case of an emergency illness or injury, the nearest hospital (in Ashland, Ala.) is about fifteen minutes from SIFAT's campus.
During their free time, students may make phone calls using prepaid calling cards, toll free numbers or collect calls. We encourage students to call only family and not friends. Cell phones are allowed at the discretion of each youth leader. Most phones will not have service on our campus. If students bring cell phones, we ask that they only make phone calls during free time and try to refrain from using them as much as possible.
During their week at L&S, students have the opportunity to encounter God in a new, amazing way. If they can turn their full attention to Him, students are more likely to appreciate the full experience of L&S.
Because students have busy schedules while at L&S, we discourage campus visits; however, some students enjoy receiving an encouraging card or letter during the week. The mailing address at L&S is:
Student Name
Church Name
L&S Week #
2944 County Road 113
Lineville, AL 36266
You may also send an e-mail that will be delivered by L&S staff to students or youth groups. Please e-mail at least 24 hours in advance. The e-mail address for student e-mail is learnandserve@sifat.org. Please put the week number as the subject. In the first line of the e-mail, please include the student's name and/or church name.
