About SIFAT

Faith and technology are merged for the purpose of enabling the poor to develop holistically in Jesus Christ.

Since its founding in 1979, SIFAT has trained community leaders from 79 countries around the globe in practical skills to meet basic human needs.

Acknowledging Christ's concern for the spiritual as well as the physical aspects of His children, SIFAT responds to the Great Commission by sharing God's love in practical ways.

SIFAT offers opportunities for Christians to get involved personally, both to learn from others and to partner with them in mission.

Where we serve

In Ecuador, through SIFAT's office in Quito, graduates of our Practicum are at work throughout the country. Christian leaders are at work in supporting 28 day care centers, in community-based health with the Tsachila people and working with the Methodist Church in Ecuador.

Our Alabama campus, in the beautiful hills of east Alabama, is the center of a wide variety of programs and training.

Children and youth have a wide variety of mission exploration experiences available, including the Global Village Overnight Experience, the Learn and Serve program and our CARES program.

 

Quesimpuco, Bolivia, at 13,000 feet in the Andes, is an area of profound poverty, isolation and superstition. The Christian community there with help from SIFAT, is doing an amazing work in putting the gospel into action, bringing hope and God's love to the Quechuan people.

Ixiamas, Bolivia is the site of an integrated gospel effort by the Christians of Sapecho and SIFAT. Plans include evangelism, a student house, an agricultural training center and primary health care.


International Training Center Our Practicum teaches multiple skills for making a difference in the lives of the poor around the world.
