Preview Phase
An introduction to missions modeled after VBS-type programs with puppet shows, skits, music, etc

Phase One
A program designed to initiate awareness in the following areas:
Global Hunger
Third World Cultures
Appropriate Technologies
Global Slum Dwellings
Christian Persecution

Devotions and praise & worship dedicated to these issues
Overnight Aldea Experience
Introduction to Service Projects
Down time: Flat Rock or Cheaha

Cross-Cultural Awareness Program
This three-day program offers the same basic content as Phase One. It includes
Global Hunger
Third World Cultures
Appropriate Technologies
Global Slum Dwellings
Christian Persecution

Devotions and praise & worship dedicated to these issues
Overnight Aldea Experience

Phase Two
This level of Learn & Serve focuses on learning construction techniques, appropriate technologies, and VBS development through
Hands-on learning of types of construction
Classes on VBS development and cross-cultural issues
Intense devotions geared toward "A Servant's Heart" and "Discovering Spiritual Gifts"

Two days in Aldea using appropriate technologies
Down time--Flat Rock or Cheaha

Phase Three
This section will focus on implementing the knowledge gained from Phases I and II. Team building will be emphasized. Highlights include:
Small construction projects prearranged through local churches to help meet needs of elderly parishioners
Development and implementationi of Back Yard Bible Clubs in local housing neighborhoods

Mission training classes emphasizing cross-cultural issues, what to expect on a mission trip, conflict resolution, and helath issues
Devotions and praise & worship will focus on bonding and unity.

Commissioning Service after completing Phase Three
Each graduate will be commissioned into the mission field during a ceremonial graduation service. This will be a time of prayer, devotion and songs. There will be an opportunity to sign up to go on a prescheduled SIFAT trip to Ecuador in the fall. The families and youth leaders of graduates will be invited to attend this special service.

Elementary Learn & Serve Preview Phase

This program is available year-round and is designed to introduce children to the world of missions and give them valuable tools as young Christiains to foster global consciousness. Bring your kids for an unforgettable retreat an dbegin to teach them about the world and what it means to be a missionary.

During this three-day retreat children will

Spend a day "Around the World" exploring international customs, culture, games, and food in SIFAT's Global Village
Participate in simulation games and group initiatives
Participate in Shade Tree learning activities (appropriate technologies and mission skills)
Be introduced to cross-cultural understanding
Share during skits, devotions, and Bible studies.
