INTERNSHIP

SIFAT offers the opportunity to serve as a short-term (3 months to 1 year) intern at many sites throughout the world. The purpose of the Internship Program is to provide an avenue of service to our international training practicum graduates to implement the objectives and teachings of the practicum in a Third World setting or on the SIFAT Galilee campus in Alabama.

Objectives:
1. To give Midpew Americans an opportunity to live and learn from Christians in another culture;
2. To assist the training graduate and their respective communities in establishing, maintaining, or enhancing communications for effective networking with SIFAT.

During the course of the practicum, the prospective intern may apply for an internship assignment. Acceptance into the program is by recommendation of an evaluation committee. SIFAT will then train, place and supervise all interns accepted into this program. Placement in a Third World setting will usually be made in relationship with a SIFAT graduate.

The intern will be expected to pay all expenses such as room, board, travel, health care, insurance, and tuition to the in-country supervisor of the program.
